The TPS software is solid, and it runs well on most hardware.
We did find that the software experienced some hitching occasionally after hitting a ball when the camera starts to follow the ball. However, the high-quality textures and shadows ensure that it is still an enjoyable software to use.
As a fun note, the simulated AI shots in this software are near perfect, and will hit the ball as far as you place the target. Sometimes it would hit a hole in one from 500+ yards away, which was always fun to see.
An important thing to know about the TPS software is that it limits your framerate to 60fps no matter what, even with high end hardware. This made testing very quick and easy, but if you have a display that can go higher than 60fps, your framerate will still be limited by the software. One advantage of this is that you won’t experience screen tearing at 60fps, since VSync is essentially permanently enabled. The disadvantage of course is that you don’t get to choose to have a higher framerate if you want to. That being said, most projectors display at 60fps anyway, so this shouldn’t be an issue for most golf simulator bays.
